ABOUT ME
I am a CG animator and artist who currently lives and works in Amsterdam, NL. I have over 10 years of experience in film VFX and game production, helping to create and tell cinematic stories. I mainly work as a previs and layout artist, and my interest stems in creating visually entertaining stories and animation. I’m originally from New Jersey, and earned a B.S. in Digital Media at Drexel University in Philadelphia. I then continued my post-graduation studies by enrolling in Animation Mentor.
I first moved to Los Angeles in 2009, where I began my career as an animator for television advertisements and a series pilot. I found myself focusing more on pre-production and storytelling, and started freelancing in film as a previs and postvis artist; working with directors to visualize their visions both before and after production. At Digital Domain, I had the opportunity to contribute in both previs and final animation, which gave me a greater knowledge of film pipeline, from pre-production to final delivery. I began working as a camera layout artist in 2013 at Sony San Diego, where I had the opportunity to gain experience in games and the technical pipeline that accompanies them. This also gave me the opportunity to bring my VFX experience to a different medium, and push cinematic storytelling in different directions. I am currently a cinematic layout artist at Guerrilla Games in Amsterdam.
I use Maya and MotionBuilder for animation, mocap editing and camera layout, and Premiere to edit shots and create sequences. I also have knowledge of Nuke and After Effects for VFX compositing. While I focus on animation, I’m always interested in finding new ways to push the medium in new and creative directions.
